SATRP Company (Section 21, not for gain)

Some producers (manufacturers, importers and retreaders) in the tyre industry did establish a non-profit organisation in response to the Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) policies towards Producer Responsibility as per the Waste Tyre Regulation, 2009.

SATRP Vision

To solve the waste (scrap) tyre problem in South Africa and support a sustainable waste tyre producer industry.

SATRP Mission

To operate a non-profit organisation for its subscribers that will administer the sustainable collection of waste (scrap) tyres arising in SA and make them available to qualifying users of waste tyres. (Tenders will be issued to also allow new entrants into the market)

SATRP Subscribers

Directors are annually elected to serve on the Board without any remuneration.
