The collection process is likely to start within 12 months after the integrated waste management plan has been gazetted by the Minister of DEA. The gazetting of the Plan sets the dates for the rest of the project. Estimated dates are as follows:
THE SATRP INDUSTRY PLAN Distribution of Draft for 30 day comment period: 2 March 2009 (completed) Submission to Dept Environmental Affairs together with comments receive 4 June 2009 (done) Draft Gazetting for public comment for 30 day period: during October-November 2009 Gazetting of approved plan: December 2009 or January 2010.
WASTE TYRES TRANSPORT CONTACTORS Tenders to be issued: Near end year 2009 Adjudication of tenders: End 2009 Awarding of contracts: during January/February 2010
WASTE TYRE PROCESSORS Tenders to be issued: near end year 2009 Adjudication of tenders: end 2009 Awarding of contracts: during January/February 2010
